Hello Church Family! Thanks so much for your prayers as I endeavored on applying for a new job. I did not get the job, but I had been asking God for His will be done and He show me the path that he wants me to take, and He did! Thanks for your encouragement in this, and I will do my best to fill His purpose for me well right where I am!
Wonderful attitude and heart Steph! I’m proud of what the Lord is doing in you! Blessings!
“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
Bryan is going into surgery at 1:00 today at the Vail Hospital, possibly staying into Sunday. It is a 4-5 hour surgery to fuse/reconstruct 3 problem discs in his lower back. Simply said: they will put in 6 titanium screws, and 2 Lego’s! I will be married to the Bionic Man!! We covet your prayers for all aspects and details of the operation, and we praise God for each one of you!

Please pray for Debbie and I as we are both sick with some sort of cold. Please pray that we can make it through the work week and then we will have a week off together. Also pray for God’s provision as we probably can’t facilitate the first week of Community group.

They are going to put her back in the hospital tonight but they are waiting on a bed to become available. The new medicine has finally been approved for her to use but we dont quite know what theese new developments mean for her treatment as of now. Please lift her up in prayer ask for Gods healing in this please. All I keep doing is asking him not to take her from me and dont really know what else to say.

Prayer Requests
1) Please pray for our staff and their families as there are many illnesses disturbing them right now. Rodah’s Mom has just been diagnosed with Tuberculosis, and this very often accompanies HIV. Julie’s Mom fell and bit all the way through her tongue and it is infected and she is in the hospital. Mary’s sister needs surgery. Our pastor Faisal needs surgery on his nose. Our pastor Rogers’ father has been in the hospital with malaria. Our pastor Richard’s father-in-law is testing today for TB. And many of our staff and their children have a terrible flu and cough and have to stay home in bed. Please include in this our cook, Flavia, whose husband hacked her terribly with a machete a few years ago, and will be getting out of prison next month. And our vehicles, which are actually part of the “staff,” and at least one of them is in the shop every day. Thanks!
2) Please pray for the two short term teams that we will be working with in the very near future. Pray that they reach many with the love and truth of Christ, and that many come to Him because of their sharing. Pray that we and our staff work well with them, and that the ones that accept Christ will then come to church and continue in the knowledge of Him. Pray that God is given much glory!
3) Please pray for our finances, as they have been a bit short lately, and we have had a bit of difficulty funding all the ministries.
Praises
1) All 26 homes were completed in the area that burned down behind our house! The families have moved back in and are so amazed and still talking about the “Christians” that rebuilt those homes for them, even though most of them were not Believers. Several people have been attending church here since Calvary Jinja was able to feed the homeless for a week, and then, with the help and financial support of many others, to rebuild their homes, and to also help restart many of the businesses that lost everything. Ten of these people have given their lives to Christ!
2) We were able to work with a medical team from Tennessee that came out to work with
someone else, but has known us for years and has always been so encouraging. This time
we worked with both the team from Tennessee and the group they joined from Uganda and
took them into four prisons to do medical work. They became the hands of Jesus in ministering to the sick, and they and our pastors and translators were also able to share the Gospel with many of the prisoners!
3) The Pastor’s Conference that Jess held here in early March was a great success! He
expected only about 16 men, but actually hosted 32 Calvary pastors and School of Ministry
students from many places in Uganda! The focus of the conference was Proverbs 4:23,
“Guarding Your Heart.” Many of the men have taken the time to tell Jesse how much the
Word and the teachings have touched their lives.
I will definitely keep praying for you, and I will add your second request to my prayer list. Love you, hang in there.
I am praying for you. I love you friend and I know what it’s like to not know if you can have babies. You know you can talk to me anytime!
Thank you church family for your continued prayers. I have felt God working in me through your conversations with Him. I have a couple of additional requests. I have to go to get seven tests done to see if I am able to conceive, and I also have to have another eye surgery on both eyes. Please pray for God’s will and my acceptane with the tests, and for healing with the surgeries. Thanks!
You have my prayers and my love. Satan is just to hateful these days. He knows his time is short. Father God please hold Step in your arms and shield her, also give her peace.
Please pray for me. I am going through what I can only call a spirtual battle. I am having a lot of trouble trusting God and his timing and his plan for me. I appreciate the prayers in this.
I pray God gives you strength and understanding with what you are going through.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. ”
Proverbs 3:5-6
